Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

A well-regarded secondary school in Lancaster is seeking to hire a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as an HLTA across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) and be enthusiastic about committing to a full-time position, which may lead to a temp-perm opportunity.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in teaching pre-set work to full classes, small groups, and individuals.
2. Conduct 1:1 and small group intervention sessions to help targeted pupils and those requiring additional support.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as an HLTA or Cover Supervisor is preferred.
* Experience working across KS3 and KS4 is essential.
* Flexibility in your approach to work is essential.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team.
* Experience in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) is preferable.
* A genuine passion for working in the field of education is highly valued.
