Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Garden Associate to join our team. This role involves a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and enhancement of our gardens and outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening and a strong understanding of maintenance practices and the knowledge and ability to take on a head gardener role. You will be responsible for ensuring that our gardens are maintained to the highest standard and that our standards are kept throughout the team. Previous professional horticultural experience is essential, along with experience in managing a team.
Responsibilities
1. Utilise hand tools and power tools for various gardening tasks, including planting, pruning, and weeding.
2. Utilise garden machinery to conduct regular landscape maintenance to keep gardens tidy and healthy, including strimming, lawn cutting, hedge cutting, leaf blowing, and pressure washing.
3. Maintain records of visits, reporting back to the office on a daily basis.
4. Conduct regular checks of all equipment being used.
Qualifications
1. Previous experience in gardening or landscape maintenance is essential.
2. Good plant knowledge and eagerness to broaden your plant knowledge.
3. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
4. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
5. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
6. Ability to work well as a team and manage a small team.
7. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new gardening techniques.
8. Excellent customer service skills.

Pay: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
