Job summary
:
The role will provide aParamedic resource for health care professionals and service users, working incollaboration with other members of the Multidisciplinary Team.
To work within thecommunity, as an autonomous, accountable Paramedic, in the provision of aholistic approach for individuals including assessment, management andtreatment, to deliver high quality patient services.
To assess, manage, treat,refer and/or signpost patients who attend surgery with undifferentiated orundiagnosed condition relating to minor illness or minor injury.
The post holder will useadvanced clinical skills to provide education to patients, promoting self-careand empower them to make informed choices about their treatment.
Job responsibilities:
Home visits
Managing and treating patientspresenting with minor illness
Triage and treat patientswishing to see a health care professional, making any necessary referrals toother members of the primary health care team
Patients with problems needingreferral to secondary care should be discussed with the registered GP beforemaking such referral
Ensure clinical practice issafe and effective and remains within boundaries of competence, and toacknowledge limitations
Advise patients on generalhealth care and minor ailments, with referral to other members of the primaryand secondary health care team as necessary

Essential
1. BSc in a training programme approved by the College of Paramedics
2. Health & Care Professions Council registration
3. able to operate at an advanced level of clinical practice
4. Framework for Higher Education Qualification Level 7 or Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework Level 11
5. Pre reg MSc in a training programme approved by the College of Paramedics
6. non-medical prescribing qualification
7. Full UK driving license
