Due to continued successful growth, we have an excellent opportunity to join our Fortem team working permanently with our partners at Town & Country Housing Repairs as a Multi Skilled Trade in our Responsive Repairs team.
The Multi Trade will be responsible for most aspects of property maintenance and repairs to Social Housing Properties covering a patch that stretches from Canterbury, Minster, Deal, Dover, Folkestone, Hythe, Tunbridge Wells, Ashford, New Romney and surrounding areas, so travel is essential.
Core Hours are Monday-Friday 8.00am-5.00pm.
As Multi Trade, you will be ensuring all work is undertaken to a high standard with the minimum of supervision. The Multi Trade takes ownership of work, aiming for 'First time Fix' on all jobs, operating within the company Health and Safety guidelines, and remaining within budget and time parameters, whilst being courteous and professional around the tenants.
The Customer
Fortem’s long-term contract is a real partnership with Town & Country currently supporting 9,500 properties. Our contract in Kent includes Repairs & Maintenance, Voids, and Complex Works.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Completing works for responsive repairs and maintenance as per the specification, working in a timely and productive manner.
2. Advising Supervisor in a timely manner when other trades are required.
3. Working in partnership with other operatives to complete projects.
4. Recording and submitting accurate data using relevant business systems and electronic devices.
5. Affording excellent customer service to client representatives.
6. Arranging purchase of materials required to deliver the works in a planned and efficient manner.
7. Complying with safeguarding policy and H&S standards at all times.
8. Operating within the company’s occupational road risk policies and procedures.
9. Using a PDA smartphone to correspond daily with the Repairs Planning team and colleagues to update progress and completion information for your allocated work.
What you will need
Essential criteria:
NVQ/City & Guilds qualifications or equivalent / OR Qualified by experience will be considered.
Full UK driving licence (max 5 points).
Desirable criteria: Social Housing experience.
