An exciting opportunity for an inspirational Nursery Manager to join the team at our lovely nursery in Brighton

This is a mainly room-based role, with the benefit of excellent Management training.

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and skills:
* A minimum of an approved Level 3 qualification in childcare
* Relevant safeguarding training and a willingness to update training regularly
* Excellent knowledge of the statutory framework for the early years foundation stage and Ofsted's inspection framework
* A passion for childcare and achieving the highest standards to ensure that every child fulfils their potential
* A minimum of 3 years' experience of working in a nursery
* A minimum of 2 years' management experience within a nursery
* Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Responsibilities and Duties include
* Building excellent relationships with parents and carers and developing a strong partnership between home and Nursery with our lovely families
* Be prepared to fully throw yourself in to all activities in the nursery, helping encourage the children to express themselves creatively and support your colleagues to do the same
* To provide a happy, supportive environment for the Nursery Team
* Manage and encourage the team, through day-to-day guidance, training, regular supervision and appraisals.
* Assist with recruitment
* Work closely with the Nursery Area Manager to develop the setting
* An ability to work on own initiative
* Support children with SEND and liaise with other professionals
* Ability to co-ordinate in specific specialist areas and liaise with Outside Agencies
* To provide the highest levels of care and education for all our children
* To meet the individual needs of children through child-centred learning and play
* Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of our children
* Promote high standards of quality within the nursery in respect of the environment, resources and experiences offered to children.
* Support the team to deliver high-quality practice following the EYFS, making a lasting, positive difference to children's wellbeing, learning and development.
* Promote the nursery to new families
* Attend staff meetings, parents evenings, open day events

Candidates must have a minimum of a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification.
