At Fletchers, we are proud of our reputation for excellence in clinical negligence law. As a Senior Solicitor in our growing and highly skilled Clinical Negligence team, you will play a central role in delivering outstanding legal services to our clients.
In this role, you will manage a diverse caseload with autonomy and expertise, driving cases from inception to resolution with a proactive and client-focused approach.
You would be joining a quality, experienced and growing team of Clinical Negligence lawyers, many of whom hold prestigious accreditations, including those from APIL, AvMA, and the Law Society Clinical Negligence Panel. The ideal candidate will have:
1. A minimum of 6 years PQE or equivalent experience working in Clinical Negligence.
2. Significant experience running very high value Clinical Negligence cases.
3. Strong empathetic interpersonal skills and an ability to deal with a range of people with disabilities, their families, and other legal professionals.
4. High degree of professionalism, a pride in your work, and a commitment to achieve our clients' goals.
5. The ability to interact with colleagues and express opinions in a professional and courteous way.
6. Excellent time management - the ability to complete given tasks within an acceptable timescale and to work within any reasonably given deadlines.
7. The ability to work in an organised way and in line with departmental procedures.
8. The ability to apply initiative and forward thinking.
9. An interest in business development.

Main Responsibilities:
1. You will be running your own caseload of Clinical Negligence matters, both pre and post litigation whilst supervising junior file handlers and providing technical support to the team.
2. Responsibility for all aspects of running claims from inception to resolution.
3. Delivering outstanding service to clients.
4. Delegated and supervise tasks to junior team members where appropriate.
5. Carrying out staff supervision to include regular meetings and appraisals.
6. Contribute to regular team meetings and training sessions.
7. To actively engage in business development plans.
8. Proactive and commercial case management and progression.
9. Supporting the Team Leader in ensuring the delivery of the team's financial performance and KPIs.
10. Effective and thorough time recording.
11. Working with the team to ensure that relevant information is being collected and collated to enable the progression of the case.
