We are looking for experienced and committed Healthcare Assistants with an interactive approach, who are eager to enhance their skills in the complex care sector. While prior complex care experience is beneficial, it is not a requirement as full bespoke clinical training will be provided.
You will need to be passionate about delivering the highest quality care to our service users, building positive relationships with them and their family whilst empowering them to live as independently as possible within the comfort of their own home.
Meet our service user
Our service user a vibrant young man in his early 30's and lives with his family in Tamworth, he requires support with his complex care needs on a 1:1 basis throughout the day and night.
He has a keen interest in technology, enjoys socialising, and loves engaging in various hobbies. We are looking for someone who can provide exceptional care while promoting his independence and supporting his daily activities.
At home he likes to spend time watching films and is a big fan of all Star Wars movies. He also loves to play his PlayStation, listen to music and spend quality time with his family and care team.
As part of his dedicated team, you will be required to assist him with all his personal care, moving and handling, meal preparation and attending to his clinical care needs when required.
A key aspect of this role will be to monitor and assist with night-time routines, including personal hygiene, mobility, attending to his clinical care needs when required, ensuring a comfortable and safe sleeping environment.
Please note, it is essential that you are a driver with access to a vehicle.
Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.
To be successful in this role it is essential that you have experience with the following:
1. 3 months' previous care experience
2. Medication Administration
3. Personal Care
4. Moving and Handling
Experience working with the following clinical needs is desirable, however is not essential to be considered for this role:
5. Knowledge of Spinal Muscular Atrophy
6. Ventilation Management
7. PEG Feeding
8. Cough Assist
Shifts Available
9. Part Time Days and Nights
10. 2-3 shifts per week
11. 8am - 8pm
12. 8pm – 8am
13. Alternate weekends are needed for this position
Take a look at our pay rates
Weekdays: £13.00 per hour (Approx. £156 per 12-hour shift)
Weeknights: £13.50 per hour (Approx. £162 per 12-hour shift)
Bank Holidays: £14.00 per hour (Approx. £168.00 per 12-hour shift)
