We are currently looking for a Senior Practitioner to work in our Adult and Older People team within the Rutherglen and Cambuslang Local Office.

To be considered for a Senior Practitioner post you will need to have extensive experience working with adults in a statutory setting. You will have knowledge of relevant policies, legislation, and guidance together with an ability to assess and manage risk.
To apply for a Senior Practitioner post you must have a Degree in Social Work, Dip SW or other recognised Social Work Qualification. You must be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council and have had Adult Support and Protection training to Council Officer level. You must have a minimum of 3-year post-qualifying experience, accompanied by:
1. Evidence of a Post Graduate Qualification (Practice Teacher Award, Mental Health Officer training, PQ award or equivalent), or
2. Specialist qualification in working with adults e.g. Dementia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disability
3. Evidence of management of complex cases
This new role will offer a route for career progression for Social Workers who want to continue to develop their career without becoming a line manager of other workers.
