Head of Quality – North West (Hybrid with travel) Are you currently working as a Quality Manager/Head of Quality, with strong leadership skills and experience within regulated sectors, for example Defence, Nuclear, Aerospace, Manufacturing? They have a particularly strong presence in the Transport, Energy and Decommissioning, Nuclear and Defence sectors. They currently have an opportunity for a Head of Quality to join their Senior management team, this position is based out of their North West office (Hybrid working but regular head office attendance is required so you must be commutable to the North West). Head of Quality Role Responsibilities: You will be responsible for developing and implementing the quality management strategy across the business, including manufacturing, projects and the wider business functions. Oversee the continuous improvement and quality assurance across the business. Manage quality performance across projects including installation, Design and manufacture. To manage and improve the Quality Management System which meets, as a minimum, the requirements of BS-EN-ISO-9001, reducing quality costs and ensuring customer requirements are defined and met. Develop and implement the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS) in alignment with industry standards (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001). Establish and maintain robust quality assurance frameworks for both manufacturing and installation processes. Lead the development of quality objectives and ensure alignment with overall business goals. Collaborate with clients to understand their quality expectations and ensure projects meet or exceed those requirements. Oversee the quality performance of suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to company standards. Manage the quality assurance team, including training, mentoring, and development of staff. Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation. Head of Quality Role Requirements: Strong leadership and team management abilities. ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certificate Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Highly analytical, with the ability to interpret data and develop strategic solutions to improve quality outcomes. Proficient in quality management software and familiar with modern tools for quality control and reporting. Knowledge of managing quality performance on multiple projects Managing teams of quality professionals through KPI’s and performance metrics Desirable Experience of working in highly regulated environments (nuclear, rail, defence, power) Chartered Quality Professional (CQP) SC Security clearance or happy to obtain This Head of Quality Position offers a generous basic salary, car allowance and industry leading package, alongside the chance to take ownership of the quality function across a growing, dynamic business.
