GSL Education are seeking a talented Science Teacher for a secondary school in Southampton, Hampshire. The school is looking for an individual who is passionate about Science and can deliver engaging lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential. This is a wonderful opportunity for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers to contribute to a school that fosters a positive and supportive learning environment.
The Teacher of Science role offers the chance to teach Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to extend your role to Key Stage 5 depending on your experience. You will join a dedicated and innovative department, helping students build the skills they need to succeed in Science.
As a Science Teacher, your responsibilities will be:
* Deliver engaging and curriculum-based Science lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential to teach Key Stage 5.
* Assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
* Collaborate with colleagues to continually improve the Science curriculum.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students can thrive.
* Attend departmental and whole-school meetings, contributing to school improvement.
* Support the personal development and well-being of students in your care.
To be considered for the Science Teacher role, you must have:
* A degree in Science or a related field.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ECTs are welcome).
* Previous experience working as a Science Teacher in a secondary school.
* A passion for teaching Science and motivating students.
* Strong communication and classroom management skills.
* A commitment to professional development and high educational standards.
* An Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or the willingness to apply for one.
