Job Description The Role The role of the Team Leader (Extra Care) is to support the delivery of the highest quality care support services by carrying out a range of functions in the Extra Care setting, including the assessment and review of individual services and the practical supervision, instruction and support of care workers. You will spend the majority of your working time in your designated Extra Care scheme(s) carrying out your primary functions, but your role will typically also entail a certain amount of office-based administrative work. You may also be required to work according to agreed shift patterns in order to carry out your functions outside normal office hours. Qualifications About you We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of care principles, statutory regulations, and health and safety within the care sector. Experience with specific tenant groups, risk management, and following both written and verbal instructions is essential. Key skills include proficiency in Microsoft Office and email, good communication abilities, and interpersonal skills. A commitment to equality, personal development, and making a positive impact on people’s lives is crucial. Personal Attributes: Professional, compassionate, and empathetic. Strong leadership abilities, able to motivate and inspire others. Conscientious, reliable, and patient, with a calm demeanor in crisis situations. Flexible, self-motivated, and able to prioritise under pressure. Experience: Managing and delivering care support services. Experience in handling complaints and delivering training is advantageous. Qualifications: GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent). NVQ/QCF Level 3 Diploma (or equivalent). A full driving licence (or ability to travel independently).
