Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager – North & Central, you will be working closely with our Supply Chain, Sales and Logistics teams. The Multi Site Manager will be accountable for the health and safety of all site staff, site compliance, budgetary control, planning of production and all matters relating to material supply from the site. In this role you would be required to work at both sites throughout the week managing employees at both sites.
In this role, you will:
1. Be responsible for all work undertaken in the Packing Plants / Cement Depot including infrastructure.
2. Engage in customer focus and liaison work, collaborating with sales to grow the products.
3. Lead and manage all Tarmac UK and contractor personnel working in the Packing Plant / Cement Depot areas, prioritizing safety.
4. Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE legislation.
5. Develop and maintain the Packing Plants health and safety and compliance documents to fully meet the ISO requirements.
6. Implement and ensure compliance with Tarmac health and safety systems / standards and best practices.
7. Ensure that all work undertaken in the Packing Plants is risk assessed and safe-working procedures are established.
8. Report and fully investigate all accidents and incidents, taking corrective action as necessary.
9. Manage projects within the Packing Plants within agreed timescales and budget.
Qualifications:
1. Experience in undertaking risk assessments and developing safe working procedures.
2. Experience in managing teams and staff development.
3. Excellent customer engagement skills and the ability to focus on the customer.
4. Effective budgeting and cost control skills.
5. IT literate – Microsoft plus in-house packages such as Intelex, SAP, VAS, JDE, and TFP.
6. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
8. Proven organizational skills, with high levels of accuracy and precision.
