Responsibilities:
1. Assists occupational therapist with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of therapy and care plans to support the mental, emotional, physical, and social well-being of assigned clients.
2. Works alongside the Occupational Therapist and other members of the multidisciplinary team to identify patients' occupational needs.
3. Supports patients in engaging in self-care, productive, and recreational groups.
4. Effectively updates clinical records and computerized information systems as directed by the Occupational Therapist in a timely manner.
5. Records and reports patient involvement in 1:1 and group sessions, ensuring any unusual occurrences are promptly referred to senior staff.
6. Demonstrates compassion for patients and their situations while being proactive, enthusiastic, and encouraging in interactions.
7. Supports the development and creation of activity schedules and service line timetables.
8. Assists OT or SOTA with clinical/OT assessments.
9. Proposes new ideas for delivery to enhance patient experience based on feedback from community groups and OT sessions.
10. Supports new group-wide programs to promote consistent delivery across the Priory Group.
11. Works with patients to increase their sense of purpose and value through life skills and prescribed OT sessions.
12. Facilitates groups (psycho-educational, DBT informed, goal setting, life skills, etc.).
13. Autism/DBT skills/life skills training is desirable.
Minimum Requirements:
* GCSE / O-Levels (A-C) or a relevant NVQ2 or equivalent experience.
* Clear and positive communication style both verbally and non-verbally.
* Ability to provide written and verbal information succinctly.
* Safeguarding knowledge.
