Hays Education has recently seen an increased need for local Child Support Workers in SEN Schools across Northamptonshire for day-to-day and long-term supply.
Here at Hays, we work with a number of schools across Northamptonshire, covering the areas of Northampton, Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough, Rushden, Daventry, Towcester, Brackley, and all the in between! This means as a Child Support Worker working through Hays, you will have local work in your area covering schools that only you want to work in.
We are currently recruiting on behalf of an alternative provision primary school that is based in central Northampton, a short walk from the bus station. The school supports students who have been excluded from mainstream education due to having additional needs that require specialist support and/or challenging behaviour.
Your new role
We are currently recruiting for a full-time Child Support Worker to join the team ASAP on a temporary-permanent basis. We are looking for exceptional people to work with exceptional pupils who have a range of additional needs.

The appointed person will be expected to make a real and positive impact on the lives of children who have a range of care needs, life experiences, and personalities that make every day varied and interesting. You will be able to successfully build trusting student relationships and motivate and encourage students as required by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance, and help with living and learning tasks as appropriate.
What you'll need to succeed
The appointed candidates will have a minimum of 1 year's experience working with children and young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs or Autism Spectrum Conditions.
