Having successfully placed 3 strategic hires for this client already this year, we're now seeking a Head of Projects to provide leadership and operational oversight across multiple projects.
A prestigious organisation, a leader in their field. Rapidly expanding during 2025, with huge business growth supported by a range of technologies and solutions, expanding the team to take on new challenges and modernise their client facing platforms.
In hiring for the clients software development team, the Technical Director advised the following (which should give you some insight in to the opportunity to shape and manage the future of this company, its teams and its clients);

As to be expected with any project management leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring projects align with business objectives, are delivered within scope, budget, and timelines, and that project management practices are consistently applied across the organisation.
Main duties are as follows:
* Ensure all projects align with company strategy and deliver measurable business value.
* Directly manage and mentor Project Managers and senior team members to ensure high performance.
* Develop a cohesive team culture that promotes collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
* Oversee the entire project lifecycle, project execution, ensuring adherence to plans, budgets, and quality standards.
* Manage project resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment.
* Facilitate issue resolution by coordinating with team members and stakeholders.
* Act as a senior escalation point for client relationships; ensure client expectations are met or exceeded consistently across all projects.
* Engage regularly with senior stakeholders internally and externally to communicate progress, risks, opportunities, and outcomes.
* Maintain full accountability for project budgets across the portfolio; ensure financial targets are met.
* Prepare forecasts for resource allocation, revenue projections, and cost management across projects.
* Implement robust governance frameworks to maintain high standards of quality assurance across all projects.
* Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in project management.
* Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting open communication and problem-solving.
* Provide guidance, support, and feedback to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
You will have a proven track record in project delivery, and management of project management professionals. Due to the nature of the role you may have interaction with the end clients - someone from an MSP or professional services background may be suited to this role.
The role is located in Poole, Dorset. Work from home flexibility is available, but please note, the role is onsite in the Poole office.
