Role Description
We are recruiting for Occupational Health Technicians, Nurses, and Advisors on a Part-Time/Full-time basis. Flexibility in start and finish times is essential. Although most work will be on workdays, out-of-hours provision may be required at times.
As an Occupational Health Advisor, you will work closely with the occupational health team to provide high-quality healthcare services to our clients. You must provide accurate written, electronic, and verbal reports, observing confidentiality always. The role may involve sickness absence medicals, pre-employment checks, health surveillance, D&A screening, and may include site visits and considerable travel.
Training will be provided, and it is expected that you will be trained, supervised, and mentored by a senior OH nurse.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Providing basic first aid and healthcare screening, preventing healthcare problems at work through risk assessment, education, training, and other initiatives.
* Managing sickness absence.
* Pre-assignment, fit to return to work, and case management assessments.
* Managing and undertaking a Health Surveillance program for the workforce.
* Drug and Alcohol testing.
* Review and/or develop client-specific sickness and health policies.
* Maintaining records & diaries (electronic).
* Providing regular activity and performance reports.
* Providing other tasks that may be assigned from time to time from ROC Management.
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified Occupational Health Nurse.
* Minimum 3 years postgrad experience.
* Experienced and comfortable working on own, looking after the OH needs of an entire workforce.
* Experience in the delivery of Occupational Health & Safety in an industrial environment.
* Good computer literacy skills (all Microsoft packages).
* Ability to communicate verbally and in written form to a high standard.
* Excellent communication skills at all levels, combined with an ability to understand the strategic importance of leadership, innovation, development of staff, as well as an inherent drive for results.
