Infrastructure Engineer
Our client is looking for a Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join their team in Hove. The consultancy has a varied project portfolio that extends across the Residential, Commercial, Public, Industrial and Marine sectors. The office is based just a few minutes from Hove seafront and 10 minutes from the Centre of Brighton with excellent transport links around the city.
Responsibilities of the role:
·Undertaking Technical and Feasibility strategies and studies, FRA's, report writing, drawing up plans and details
·Developing Detailed Designs from concept to construction to comply with relevant regulations, best practices and guidance
·Developing SuDS designs to mitigate flood risk and water quality issues
·Assessing the sustainability and environmental impact of projects
·Coordinating site investigations and analysing data
·Managing resources efficiently to meet deadlines
·Liaising effectively with architects, contractors, consultants, statutory authorities, co-workers and clients
·Developing others including our Trainee Engineers/Technicians & Graduates
Requirements of the role:
·BEng/MEng in Construction/Civil Engineering (preferably)
·Detailed experience using Microdrainage and or Civils 3D carrying a distinct advantage.
·Excellent communication skills
·Sound technical knowledge
·Prepare sketches, technical reports and specifications
·Ability to maintain client contact to inform of progress, issues and problems
·Competent use of Microsoft Word & Excel
·Detailed understanding and use of Analytical/Design and CAD software
·Ability to think creatively to resolve design and development problems
