Staff Nurse (Band 5) - 317 Trustwide - The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – Tyne and Wear
We’ve been providing patient-centred healthcare to communities in the North East of England and beyond for over 250 years and are proud to be one of the largest NHS trusts in the UK, offering a vast and diverse range of specialist services.
We seek self-motivated, confident nurses with a natural aptitude for empathy and attentiveness, who can demonstrate a sensitive yet self-assured approach with patients who are often very scared and uncertain for their future.
Acting as an advocate for your patients, you will need authentic communication and listening skills, and the ability to build trust, considering all factors in their response to prognosis and treatment plans. This can require considerable resilience and insight and you will liaise with colleagues from many external partnership services, requiring good coordination and organisation skills.
* Interview Date: Tuesday 12 November 2024
* Full & Part Time Hours/Week
Providing outstanding standards of care takes a successful multi-disciplinary approach and you will work alongside a large team of talented individuals including medical, surgical, anaesthetic and intensive care teams, allied health professionals, pharmacists and many more.
Our teams also include many nurse specialists and as such there is great scope for progression to more specialist and other senior nursing and managerial roles.
Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
There is a multitude of opportunities for career development within our Trust. Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in particular is extremely important to us, to ensure our staff can fully liberate their potential. You will be encouraged and supported to develop your skills and competencies with dedicated support from our Clinical Educators.
