We are looking to recruit a Children and Family Worker to deliver the Children and Family focused spiritual programmes within the Darlington Corps and local community, in accordance with the Missional Journal, to bring children and families into a living faith in Jesus.
* Support the operational delivery of the children’s, family work and spiritual programme within the Corps and local community.
* Lead Christian worship in the context of children and family ministry.
* Support the Corps Officer and Children’s Ministry Team in delivering programmes to celebrate children and family work.
* Demonstrate both a professional and caring manner when interacting with programme participants.
* Contribute into the planning and review processes for the programmes and activities.
* Maintain close links to the community and any relevant external agencies.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
* A commitment to Christianity and is a practising Christian with a willingness and ability to bring ministry to the community.
* Experience of organising community activities for a range of different programme participants.
* Ability to prioritise, organise and manage your own workload to meet objectives.
* Good communication skills and to develop effective working relationships with colleagues, programme participants and external stakeholders.
This role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be a committed and practising Christian and will be in sympathy with the doctrines of, and supportive of, the purposes and the aims and objectives of The Salvation Army.
