About Us
Return to Work Program – Program Analyst
Ready to return to work, but need more support and flexibility?
ANZ's Return to Work Program is designed for people who have taken a career break or have been significantly underemployed and are seeking support to transition back into the workforce.
To be eligible for the Program you will have taken a career break (two or more years) or have been significantly underemployed.
We understand the importance of balancing work, family, and other commitments. Planning, cooperation, and support are essential. Assess the resources you currently have and identify what additional support you may need.
Reflect on the hours and days you are available to work and be prepared to discuss them with us. Together, we can fine-tune your schedule to best fit your needs.
As a Program Analyst, you would work with the domain Initiative and Portfolio leads to support delivery and execution of the Bank‘s strategic technology initiatives. The work also entails close co-ordination and collaboration with multiple application product owners and engineers to ensure successful delivery of initiative outcomes.
Banking is changing and we’re changing with it, giving our people great opportunities to try new things, learn and grow. Whatever your role at ANZ, you’ll be building your future, while helping to build ours.
What will your day look like?
You will be working alongside the Domain Initiative or Portfolio Leads on various aspects of project and portfolio management, in driving shared clarity and success for cross domain initiatives. Key areas of focus include :
* Deliver effective communication and reporting to key stakeholders on initiative progress in alignment to Technology strategy.
* Maintain and monitor program deliverables in partnership with key technology programs.
* Co-ordinate and collaborate with multiple application, infrastructure, cloud and other platform teams to plan and deliver technology initiatives.
* Bringing together insights and information to assist with business decision making – as well as identifying opportunities for optimization and improving productivity.
* Responsible for co-ordinating cross domain activities (example shared learning, or engagement initiatives).
* Flexibility to tailor the broad role for you to learn as much as possible and align with your core skillsets.
What will you bring?
To be successful, we're looking for individuals from all disciplines who bring a diverse range of thought, skillset and a growth mindset. You are not expected to have all of the capabilities required for the role, so if the type of role interests you and you feel that you could bring value to the team, then please apply.
The key skills we are looking for are :
* Understanding of project and program management and/or exposure to digital projects delivery, preferably in the Finance or Technology industry.
* Being organized – with a strong result orientation – would be a bonus.
* Ability to work independently (after initial periods of learning/stabilisation in the role).
* Curiosity - Ask a lot of questions and have the willingness to expand knowledge and network.
* Collaborative - comfortable working with small groups or large groups of people across the domain as well as with partner teams.
* Co-ordination - being okay with taking on the responsibility of tracking, monitoring and communicating milestones and activities.
