About Us: Hillside provides short-term and long-term care for older members of the community living with age-related conditions, such as dementia. We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated cook to support our mission by preparing nutritious meals tailored to the needs of our residents. Key Responsibilities: Run the kitchen in line with food hygiene standards. Prepare and provide 3 healthy and nutritious meals a day for all residents, adhering to dietary needs, including allergies and specific requirements. Develop and create new menus that cater to individual needs and preferences. Manage and lead a team of catering assistants, ensuring daily tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. What We’re Looking For: Experience in running a commercial kitchen, preferably within the Health and Social Care sector. Level 2 Food Hygiene certification. A flexible approach to working hours, with the willingness to work alternate weekends. Leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a team.
