Furze Platt Senior School is looking to appoint a Peripatetic Piano Teacher with Singing to join their expanding music department. The applicant will implement and deliver high quality singing lessons to all ages across the school.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of teaching a range of musical styles and working with different exam boards including ABRSM, Trinity and Eduqas GCSE and A-Level. The candidate should be willing to support the growth of the department by exploring creative ways to grow the numbers of students taking vocal lessons and be willing to deliver these ideas. The music department is focused on creating a collaborative atmosphere with the common goal of achieving excellence inside the classroom and out.
In general, peripatetic music teaching staff will be responsible for the following:
• Teaching students in individual lessons.
• Teaching students of all ranges and abilities.
• Practising with exceptional drive and energy.
• Have high expectations of themselves and their students and be committed to ensuring every student has a positive learning experience.
• Acting as a role model for the students and as an ambassador for the school.
• Being a team player, relating well to colleagues and parents.
