We are currently looking for a Facilities Engineer to work for an automotive manufacturing customer of ours in Warwick.
The main duties of the role include:
1. Maintaining buildings, plant, and equipment.
2. Perform effective fault finding, diagnosis, analysis, and corrective measures for all equipment on site.
3. Install new parts and ensure equipment is functioning correctly.
4. Conduct repairs and replace faulty components to restore equipment functionality and minimise production interruptions.
5. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory management.
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
7. Ensure Health & Safety, Quality, and Regulatory Compliance processes and controls are maintained.
8. Work in compliance with H&S, identifying and controlling hazards through risk assessments.
9. Continuous Improvement & Emergency Response.
10. Respond promptly to emergencies, unplanned problems, breakdowns, and repairs.
Essential pre-requisites:
1. Experience in general building maintenance (production environment)
2. Mechanical repair and maintenance of heavy plant equipment
3. Background working with hydraulic & pneumatic systems
4. Comfortable using Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
5. Experience working on domestic plumbing and compressed air systems
6. IOSH certified
7. Educated to apprenticeship / NVQ / C&G Lv.3 in relevant field
Desirable skills / experience:
1. 18th Edition wiring regulations
2. Familiarity of Idhammar Maintenance software or similar (PPM)
3. Experience repairing welding equipment
