The Position:
Applications are invited for a Maintenance Fitter to work at our SARIA, Doncaster site. This is a full-time position, working 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:
1. Day to day maintenance of all plant and machinery.
2. Conduct risk assessments on all jobs before undertaking any work/tasks.
3. Install and maintain new and existing equipment, ensuring production is not interrupted.
4. Assist with conducting hands-on mechanical engineering routines in accordance with the planned preventative maintenance systems (PPM) to minimise plant downtime and ensure compliance with appropriate legislation.
5. Ensure that all logs and job sheets are filled in as required.
6. Keep the working area clean and tidy upon completion of any job/task.
7. Be responsible for the health and safety of yourself and others within the workplace and comply with all health and safety procedures.
8. Assist other mechanical/operational departments when required.
The Person:
1. Completed a time served apprenticeship or possess a recognised Mechanical Engineering certification/qualification, or equivalent.
2. Fabrication skills are essential.
3. Refrigeration experience would be advantageous.
4. Previous engineering experience within a process/factory environment.
5. Able to work on your own initiative.
6. Proactive approach to problem solving with appropriate solutions to reduce disruption to working processes.
7. Calm and methodical approach to work, able to work under pressure within time constraints.
8. Excellent communication skills.
