Vacancy: Site Electrical Engineer Location: Clitheroe Job Family: Engineering As the Site Electrical Engineer, you will have a critical role in maintaining electrical safety on an upper tier COMAH site and making decisions on the safety and integrity of electrical and functional safety equipment. Your responsibilities: Defining, deploying, and providing assurance of standards and ways of working for all areas of electrical engineering across the site for high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) applications Being the Senior Authorised Person for all HV and LV electrical infrastructure on site Ensuring JM and third-party engineering designs, calculations and proposals are appropriate and conform to applicable standards Creating and implementing a functional safety strategy and appropriate standards to maintain compliance with statutory regulations Controlling the sites electrical asset replacement plan to maintain safe and effective operation over the long term Developing and implementing an electrical safety strategy and appropriate standards to maintain compliance with statutory regulations Investigating and reporting on all electrical incidents, accidents, and injuries on site Supporting and guiding engineers, supervisors, designers, and technicians, including competency assessment, mentoring towards professional development, and providing in-house training. Approving and providing final sign-off for critical modifications Planning and controlling the safe and efficient switching of HV equipment and assets Identifying and developing new skills to meet any gaps identified in electrical engineering either individually or in work groups.
