You will oversee the development and delivery of the Corporate Health and Wellbeing and Diversity and Inclusion Strategies, ensuring alignment to the Supporting Attendance Policy and Procedure.
You will be responsible for plans to improve the Agency’s position in these areas in-line with DVLA’s People Strategy, driving transformation and embedding best practices across the Agency.
This role involves visible and strategic leadership to drive initiatives within the Organisation, fostering an inclusive workplace and promoting cultural change.
You will analyse data and information to identify trends and risks and make sustainable recommendations for improvement.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
* Ensuring plans and activities in area of work reflect wider strategic priorities. Developing new policies/procedures in-line with best practice and in response to emerging issues. Communicating effectively with senior leaders to influence future strategies.
* Providing leadership and support for the development, implementation and communication of health and wellbeing, attendance and diversity and inclusion initiatives. Making changes which add value and clearly articulating how changes will benefit the business. Encouraging, recognising and sharing innovative ideas from a diverse range of colleagues.
* Promoting an inclusive workforce where every individual can feel safe, experience a sense of belonging and is empowered to achieve their full potential. Ensuring that equality, diversity and inclusion is considered in all aspects of work and links to the strategic aims. Actively building and maintaining a network of colleagues and contacts to achieve progress on shared objectives and deliver value to the Business.
* Using a suite of management information to identify and monitor health and attendance issues across the workforce and interpreting information to inform data driven strategies and solutions. Communicating and promoting health and wellbeing policies, procedures and initiatives to raise awareness of support available and to encourage staff to take responsibility for their own health and wellbeing.

Occasional travel may be required within the UK, however you will be notified in advance.
