Job Title: Planning Analyst/Associate

£175 per day PAYE (Flexible for the right candidate)
My high-profile client are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Planning Analyst/Associate to join our London office. The role runs until 31st December 2025 This role is integral to supporting the Front Offices of the Bank in adhering to applicable laws and regulations, while providing strategic insights into the adequacy and effectiveness of control processes. The position involves close collaboration with senior management, internal departments, and our Tokyo Head Office to ensure seamless operations and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance and Control:
* Assist the Head of Planning Group in regulatory matters and initiatives within the EMEA Division.
* Evaluate control processes and provide recommendations to mitigate compliance risks.
* Handle irregular incidents and liaise with regulatory bodies such as the PRA, FCA, and Japanese FSA.
Operational Coordination:
* Oversee third-party management, including KPI monitoring, Service Level Agreement (SLA) reviews, updates, and communication.
* Facilitate collaboration with stakeholders across departments and coordinate with the Tokyo Head Office on key projects.
Reporting and Documentation:
* Create and review English and Japanese reports for submission to senior management within specified deadlines.
* Draft and support periodic reporting for senior committees and board updates.
* Monitor and respond to requests from internal and external auditors, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
Stakeholder Engagement:
* Build strong working relationships with colleagues across departments and act as a liaison for cross-functional projects.
* Represent the team professionally in meetings and presentations.
Qualifications & Skills
Essential Skills:
* Basic knowledge of corporate and investment banking, with a strong interest in financial services.
* Proficiency in English and Japanese (verbal and written) to manage bilingual communications effectively.
* Strong analytical and organizational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
* Effective time management and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Confident interpersonal skills with the ability to present in small groups and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
