What You’ll Be Doing As an ECT in Physics, your role will include: Teaching Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students to develop a love for science and deep understanding. Designing engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a wide range of abilities, sparking curiosity and promoting inquiry. Leading practical experiments that bring theory to life and inspire real-world connections. Using assessment data to monitor student progress and raise attainment. Collaborating with colleagues to develop and improve the Science curriculum. Engaging in extracurricular activities, supporting student-led projects, and contributing to school science initiatives. What We’re Looking For We are seeking an ECT who: Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Physics or a closely related subject. Has some experience or a strong understanding of teaching Physics to students aged 11–16. Is confident in planning and delivering dynamic and engaging lessons. Is proactive, reflective, and eager to develop professionally. Is passionate about inspiring students and fostering a love for Physics. Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to the school’s ethos.
