Right at Home Cardiff and Newport provide premium quality Home Care to adults with Physical and Learning Disabilities and the Elderly. We are actively recruiting a Quality Co-ordinator for our growing Office in Cardiff and Newport to ensure the ongoing high quality of the services provided and the service’s compliance with internal policies and procedures and external regulations and legislation.
As the lead on Quality Assurance, you will ensure effective reporting, recording, monitoring and review of targets, you will also ensure routine internal audit processes of service delivery are followed, whilst ensuring prompt and appropriate action is taken against non-compliance.
This is a full-time position that demands a committed individual to quickly get on board with our vision to be the number 1 Quality Home Care provider in the country. You will have a strong and clear vision of outstanding quality and the ability to enhance current business practices to constantly achieve this.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
1. Liaising with the Franchise Owner, Operations Director and Registered Manager regarding the quality of service delivered.
2. Ensure a robust monitoring, evaluation and quality assurance system, reporting any concerns to the RM, Operations Director and Managing Director.
3. Organise, implement and facilitate a program of quality assurance to maintain high quality service.
4. Identify areas of improvement and act upon them proactively.
5. Complete quarterly audits, ensuring a detailed outcome and action plan is drawn up and acted upon.
6. Develop and apply the Company QA framework; undertake audits and report back to the senior management team.
7. Act upon Complaints and Compliments received in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures.
8. Manage quality monitoring and assist the Care Manager/Care Coordinator in reviews of Clients care services.
9. Liaise with Company Care Manager/Care Coordinator to organise quality monitoring of services.
10. Support managers to implement change to ensure effective operation.
11. Carry out robust spot checks, service reviews, observations and file documentation/audits.
12. Conduct initial assessments of both new and current clients in the community.
13. Oversee and manage community sickness and ensure accurate data input.
14. Support the RI with gathering data to complete Regulation 73’s and 80’s.
15. 1 weekend in 4 senior on call support.
Qualifications & Experience
1. QCF/NVQ Level 3 in a Health and Social Care related subject.
2. Excellent knowledge of CIW quality standards and relevant legislation.
3. Experience of auditing (not necessarily in a care setting).
4. Minimum of 1 year’s experience in home health, assisted living or long-term care environment.
5. Demonstrate knowledge of practices and techniques applied to health care.
6. Must be a driver with access to a working vehicle.
Abilities, Skills & Behaviours
1. Experience of maintaining quality compliance and auditing.
2. Working knowledge of quality assurance requirements in the domiciliary care sector.
3. General office administrative duties.

5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
