Estimator Role - Horbury (Wakefield) - Modular Build
Are you an Estimator, from a main contracting background, with experience of pricing and tendering for Modular projects?
We are currently recruiting for an Estimator on behalf of a well-established modular contractor, based in Horbury, West Yorkshire, who are looking to add to their commercial team on a permanent basis.
Estimator Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Assessing the type of tender, client, and closing date to determine prioritisation of all tenders.
2. Considering all aspects of a tender.
3. Preparing cost budgets and cost estimates for new contracts.
4. Carrying out take offs and producing Bills of Quantities to prepare tenders for submission.
5. Site visits to undertake surveys and attend meetings with project teams as necessary.
6. Identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
7. Collating sub-contractor packages.
8. Handling sub-contractor enquiries.
9. Reviewing and understanding the tendering requirements and information.
10. Completing presentation documentation.
11. Understanding and finalising the preliminaries during tender.
12. Finalising tender submissions with the lead team members.
13. Attending mid and post tender interviews and site visits.
14. Managing post tender queries.
Estimator Experience & Requirements:
1. Able to demonstrate a successful track record of estimating modular projects - Education & Healthcare.
2. Can demonstrate past tender wins.
3. Competently analyse blueprints and construction drawings.
4. Excellent attention to detail.
5. Competent IT skills and is proficient in the use of estimating software.
This Estimator role is primarily office-based with flexibility offered for site visits.
This is a genuine opportunity to work with a well-regarded contractor who has a strong order book for the remainder of this year and going into 2025.
