About The Role Waldon Telecom, a part of M Group Services, is an essential infrastructure services provider to the mobile telecommunication sector in the UK. We work on behalf of large mobile network operators to acquire, design, and construct mobile telecommunication base stations across the country. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Head of Programme Management Office (PMO). What will you be doing? As the Head of PMO you will lead this department to develop strategy, set and own the programme management standards and utilise our systems and processes to positively influence the performance of our projects and Delivery Teams. You will be responsible for the creation and closure of programmes of work and holding the Delivery Teams to account for delivery against their forecasts and the agreed standards. It is the role of the Head of PMO to develop systems and deploy them across the business to implement the appropriate level of governanceandwork with the Delivery Teams to mitigate risks and maximise opportunities. You will be responsible for developing, analysing and distributing the agreed suite of Programme Control reports. In a high volumeandmulti-Client environment, it is important that we have appropriate systems, processes and controls in place to ensure efficient delivery and identification of potential risks / opportunities to delivery. This role fits within Waldon Telecom'sProgramme Controls teamand will work across all projects, disciplines and functions within Waldon. You are likely to work 3 days at home and 2 days going into the West Byfleet, Surrey office. Whatwill your key responsibilities be? Team Management: Lead and mentor a PMO team, ensuring effective collaboration, skill development, and high-performance standards. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team. Process Optimisation: Continuously evaluate and enhance project management processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Implement and maintain standardised project management methodologies across the organisation. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand project requirements and expectations. Foster positive relationships with cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration. Closely liaise and advise the project teams, which will include monitoring and reporting project profitability, schedule adherence and quality metrics; investigating and providing commentaries on variances against forecast; GWIP analysis and leading on progressing billing and cash recovery. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing challenges to ensure successful project outcomes. Implement risk management strategies to safeguard project timelines and deliverables. Reporting and Metrics: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on project success and PMO performance. Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, risks, and opportunities. Support and produce ad-hoc and other Internal Reporting/Analysis. Support the preparation of M Group reporting and audits. Carry out all work in accordance with the company quality procedures. Work safely at all times in accordance with the companys Health and Safety arrangements. Carry out any other duties which your line manager may reasonably request within the broad parameters of your role. Whatskills & experienceare we looking for?
