We are looking for a diligent and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment, ensuring our chefs can perform at their best.
Your responsibilities will include:
Maintaining high levels of cleanliness within the kitchen, creating a hygienic environment for food preparation.
Thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting refrigerators, ovens, grills, and food preparation areas.
Washing dishes, by hand or dishwasher, ensuring they are spotless and ready for use.
Cleaning dining tables and the dining hall before and after meals.
Receiving and processing food deliveries, ensuring accurate storage and organisation.
Ensuring cleanliness meets local hygiene standards.
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks.
Transporting food to required locations promptly and efficiently.
Organising storerooms and cupboards, ensuring items are labeled and stored by date.
Emptying bins and transferring waste to designated areas.
About You
You are a hardworking and dependable individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Ideally, you will have:
A proactive attitude and ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
An understanding of hygiene and cleanliness standards in food preparation areas.
Experience in a similar role (preferred but not essential).
Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to assist where needed.
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 12pm-8.30pm
