We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, forward thinking qualified practitioner to work within our Youth and Justice Service as a Youth Justice Case Manager. We are a Service of around 100 workers, committed to achieving the best outcomes for our children and young people through advocacy and empowerment. We deliver services with the young person at the centre and ensure that their voices are integral to all that we do. We develop our services with our young people, and we are part of the Children and Families Department at Leicestershire County Council, rated “Outstanding” by Ofsted. As a Case Manager you will form meaningful relationships with children and be part of their journey in making changes towards a positive and fulfilling future. The successful candidate will provide and deliver child first approaches to our most complex and high-risk children who currently engage in offending behaviour. There will be opportunities to learn and develop your practice around Court, as well as coordinating multi agency approaches in supporting children to deter them from offending and re-offending. About You To apply for this post, you must: Professional qualification in Social Work, Probation, Education, Youth and Community Work, or a relevant health specialism Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to job role Significant experience of working with children or adults at risk of offending and re-offending Experience of working in the Criminal Justice System Knowledge of Youth Justice and safeguarding legislation and the operation of the Criminal Justice System Understanding of neurological development and an awareness of the differing needs of children and young people Knowledge of relevant behavioural change practice to bring about change in anti-social behaviour and offending behaviour You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion. In addition, we also expect you to share our commitment to our values and will ask you to evidence when you have demonstrated them as part of the selection process.
