On behalf of our client, NRL Recruitment are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Language Assessor to join our team on an offshore vessel on a 28 day contract.
The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating the language skills of our client’s workers to ensure effective communication standards are met.
This role is ideal for individuals with a background in teaching, TEFL, or language assessment. Assessments are all in English so no additional language required.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct language assessments for workers on the offshore vessel.
2. Develop and implement language proficiency tests tailored to the needs of the workforce.
3. Provide feedback and recommendations for language improvement.
4. Collaborate with management to identify language training needs.
5. Maintain accurate records of assessments and progress reports.
6. Ensure compliance with safety and communication standards.
Qualifications:
7. Ideally a Bachelor's degree in Education, or Linguistics but also open to TEFL background, or a related field in language assessment.
8. Minimum of 3 years of experience in language assessment or teaching.
9. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11. Willingness to work in an offshore environment.
