The Position of a Sales Estimator:
We are looking for a Sales Estimator to cost enquiries and projects for the client’s customers.
Skills & Requirements of a Sales Estimator:
1. Ability to estimate projects from concept to quote completion and to understand drawings and bills of quantities.
2. Must be confident with mathematical abilities/skills as you will be using them every day in order to create quotations.
3. A proven background in a construction-related industry, where your previous role has been to estimate and/or quote such projects.
4. Basic knowledge/understanding in the use of any AutoCAD package.
5. Ability to communicate effectively and liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal departments of all levels and backgrounds.
6. Working to strict deadlines and proven organisational skills working with multiple projects of varying stages, all at the same time.
7. Knowledge of a CRM system is desirable.
Main Responsibilities of a Sales Estimator:
1. To liaise with design and sales to understand the needs for a client's quotation and to produce from concept to completion.
2. Speaking to existing clients, finding new ones, and developing all relationships with suppliers and installation teams to obtain the best possible prices and quality of products.
3. To manage the sales team's expectations of quotation turnarounds so that they can relay such vital information to the client.
4. Be aware of project cost implications and avoid any pricing pitfalls to ensure that revenue and margin is realistic and achievable through the lifecycle of the project.
5. Helping the Company to maintain, develop and manage customer relationships.
6. Working collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders to understand and meet the customers’ needs.
