The King's C of E Primary Academy is at the very heart of the Newark-on-Trent community in Nottinghamshire. With approximately 250 pupils on roll, our school is a diverse and inclusive environment, home to pupils from over 18 different first language backgrounds. Despite the challenges of high disadvantage, with 44% of our pupils eligible for free school meals, our academy is committed to nurturing drive, ambition, and aspiration in our students. We are seeking an exceptional KS2 Class Teacher to join our dedicated and supportive team at The King's C of E Primary Academy. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the rapid improvement of our school, working alongside a happy and committed staff who are passionate about the professional development of every colleague.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners across the Primary National Curriculum
• Use formative and summative assessment strategies effectively to inform and improve learning and teaching
• Model excellent teaching practice and support child-led learning
• Promote a positive ethos and maintain high standards of behaviour and discipline
• Contribute to the design and delivery of a stimulating, child-centered curriculum
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community
Required Qualifications and Experience:
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Primary National Curriculum
• Proven experience of delivering high-quality teaching and learning
• Proficient in the use of ICT to enhance teaching and learning
• Strong understanding of how children learn and the ability to plan engaging, differentiated lessons
• Commitment to promoting the school's Christian values and ethos
