Hays are working with a local council to recruit an Energy Policy Research Assistant on an interim basis. This role will support the next steps of communicating the Regional Energy Strategy.You will be helping to build support for the strategy amongst Energy Capital's wider partnership of stakeholders. Additionally, you will research how other regions are implementing energy strategies, investigating what leads to long-term support and successful delivery. Working with the Energy Capital team, you will help to build a 12-month plan following the launch of our strategy to continue strengthening relationships with stakeholders and ensure that other local and regional strategies can integrate with strategic priorities for energy.Key Responsibilities: Conduct policy research, analysis, and interpretation related to energy within the West Midlands region. Prepare reports, presentations, and visualisations to communicate findings, recommendations, and progress on energy-related initiatives to diverse audiences. Support outreach and engagement efforts to raise awareness about energy-related issues and initiatives amongst community stakeholders, businesses, and residents. Liaise with stakeholders and project partners, keeping a record of project progress and ensuring successful delivery of tasks. Provide weekly updates to the Energy Capital team on your progress.
