Following new investment in Occupational Therapy in Walsall Social Care, we are looking for Occupational Therapists to join our Locality, Mental Health, and Learning Disabilities Teams.

Our newly formed Pathway to Independence service has been established to deliver person-centred, time-limited support, advice, and intervention via one of these routes: Enablement, Reablement, and Prevention & Early Intervention. Newly Qualified Occupational Therapists: G8 £36,124 - £40,476 per annum.
Experienced Occupational Therapists: G9 £39,513 - £44,711 per annum.
We are currently looking for qualified OTs with experience of working with adults with a learning disability, mental health diagnosis, or older adults with physical disabilities and/or a dementia diagnosis, or children and young people with disabilities, either as a qualified practitioner or as a student on placement.
You will be working closely with social work colleagues and service users to co-produce strengths-based care and support plans which will support people with long-term care and support needs to remain as independent as possible for as long as possible.
Some experience of moving and handling is beneficial but not essential.

Newly Qualified Occupational Therapist
As a newly qualified OT, you will access our Assessed and Supported Year in Practice programme which will support you as you transition from student to competent and confident practitioner. If you are an experienced OT but new to Social Care, or if you are returning to practice after a break, we are offering a 6-month enhanced induction programme to support you through your initial 6 months in this exciting new setting. Further details can be found at the link below.
