J ob Summary: The superstructure and fit-out senior planner is responsible for developing and maintaining the detailed Construction Schedule, ensuring integration with 3rd Party Interfaces and Design / Procurement Programme. Key Responsibilities: Produce, develop and maintain level three programmes to support the main contract purposes. Interrogate Level 4 contractor programmes returned with tenders and make comments as appropriate to support the procurement process. Develop an integrated Design, Procurement and Construction Schedule. Review, development and optimisation of construction methodology and site logistics. Lead on the schedule review of contractor claims or disputes. Review the detailed work schedules produced by contractors and ensure that they comply with strategic programmes the work breakdown structure Produce programmes necessary to coordinate works between packages including Design and Procurement. Establish Programme level commissioning and testing schedules taking account of project interfaces and planned completion schedules. Monitor the progress of the works on site against key milestones and report progress in accordance with the monthly cycle Resource Loading and input of data to produce earned value reports for packages of the works. Report on adequacy of time risk allowances and any erosion due to events. Support the Project Manager, Planning Lead & Controls Manager regarding all issues relating to schedule Liaise with the Planning Lead & Project Controls Manager to ensure that an accurate assessment of project progress is available at all times. Liaise continuously with members of the team to ensure that all activities are co-ordinated and that interface issues are identified at the earliest possible time and co-ordinated within the overall programme Work with Project Managers and sub-consultants to resolve issues and develop programmes to mitigate delay Values and Cultural Fit: Leadership: Using innovation and challenge to lead by example Respect: Understanding others, recognising their value and behaving accordingly Technical Competencies: Expert knowledge of construction techniques methods and durations Very strong understanding of techniques for project planning control and other facets of project control Expert knowledge of Primavera and similar planning software Strong knowledge of integrated project planning Expert knowledge of EVA techniques Behavioural Competencies: Strong team leader Strong attention to detail and the ability to deep dive into planning Comfortable with presenting at senior level, Able to present facts clearly and simply Able to collaborate effectively with others to develop integrated programmes Qualifications, Certifications and Experience Experience in project planning in railway environment Significant past experience of large (£100m plus) projects ADZN1_UKTJ
