An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Survey Technician to join our Aberdeen base. The successful candidate will report to the Regional Technical & Operations Manager - EMEA and be responsible for learning how to maintain our rental equipment to ensure it is ready for deployment. Initially, this will be a base (onshore) role, but as the candidate's experience and knowledge develop, there will be opportunities to support our clients with offshore operations.
The candidate will hold A-Levels (or equivalent) in Maths, Science, and Technology and have an ambition to learn and develop in a trainee role.
The applicant will need to demonstrate a confident “can do” attitude in a fast-paced environment and must be a team player. The applicant will need to be an excellent communicator and offer exceptional attention to detail.

Main Responsibilities:
Rental (onshore)
* Preparing and testing of equipment prior to rental and post hire.
* Function testing, software/firmware updates, cable integrity.
* Ensuring completeness of equipment against packing lists.
* Checking, inspecting, and documenting equipment returned from hire.
* Visual inspection, function testing, and writing technical reports.
* Identification of in-house or external repair tasks.
* Preparing all assets to ensure they are ready for delivery to clients at short notice.
* General warehouse and delivery duties.
Rental (offshore)
* Checking, inspecting, and documenting equipment on mobilisation.
* Setup, interface, function test on mobilisation.
* Troubleshoot to successful conclusion.
* Assist offshore survey team as required.
* Demobilise, check, inspect, and document equipment prior to dispatch back to base.
* Attend Offshore training and undergo an Offshore medical.
Requirements of Role:
* Qualified to A-Level/Higher Level in maths, science, and technology.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to follow procedures and processes correctly.
* High standard of QHSE in the workplace.
* Ability to work as a team taking directions.
* Ability to work independently and confidently when representing the company at client premises.
* Have a flexible and pro-active approach to working and learning.
