Able to lead congregation in regular worship and Sunday services. Capable of organising conventions, preaching and teaching the word of God accurately. Able to lead prayers and is full of the Holy Spirit.
Qualified in organising and leading rehearsals for musical performances. Able to teach music theory, technique, and performance skills to choristers and musicians. Ability to choose quality music for performances, recordings, and rehearsals.
Must be able to lead musical performances such as with an orchestra or choir. Managerial skills to oversee music staff, budgets, and resources must be sound. Able to collaborate with staff to create new musical performances.
Must provide feedback to choristers and musicians on their performance. Able to work with other professionals to communicate the vision for the music. Must be a good researcher to stay up-to-date on developments in the music industry.
Must have a university degree in music or a related field, with at least 4 years of experience as a music director or in a similar role. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential. Managerial skills must extend to the ability to recruit, train, and supervise musicians, singers, and other staff.
Must always be available for weekly staff meetings and ready to relocate to another station when needed.
