Key Responsibilities Lesson Planning and Delivery : Develop and deliver engaging, dynamic, and well-structured science lessons tailored to the needs of diverse learners. Curriculum Coverage : Teach a range of science subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, ensuring lessons align with the national curriculum and school expectations. Assessment and Feedback : Regularly assess student progress through tests, assignments, and practical experiments, providing constructive feedback to support improvement. Classroom Management : Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and motivated to participate actively. Practical Demonstrations : Organise and conduct practical experiments and demonstrations to deepen students' understanding and engagement with scientific concepts. Expectations of the Desired Candidate The ideal candidate will possess the following: Qualifications : Fully Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). A degree in a science-related subject. Experience : Extensive teaching experience in UK secondary schools, with a proven track record of success in delivering high-quality science education. Skills and Attributes : Exceptional knowledge of the science curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4, and (preferably) Key Stage 5. Strong ability to make complex scientific concepts accessible and engaging. Effective classroom management and behaviour management skills. Confidence in conducting practical experiments and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards. Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
