Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is taking on an increasing importance in our acquisition mix. We have a new SEO agency relationship to help onboard and a new website is planned to go live in 2025. You’ll be part of an agile, multi-disciplinary, customer engagement squad focused on driving the acquisition of customers on the website. You’ll have exposure to both sides of the business and will work closely with our Group colleagues to develop and implement best practices.
If you’ve performed a similar role previously, this could be the perfect opportunity to develop your career at the heart of the action.
The difference you’ll make:
* Building relationships and working with different product areas to create a high-performance website that provides an excellent customer experience
* Working with the paid media strategy team to ensure an integrated approach to search and media whilst also providing a joined-up user experience
* Helping deliver the bank’s product acquisition, loyalty and digital adoption targets by optimising the ranking on key search engines of the Santander.co.uk website
* Using data and insights to identify opportunities, form and validate hypotheses, and turn ideas into action to realise measurable real-world results
* Assisting with the transition to a new agency and website, ensuring SEO best practices are built in from the start
What you’ll bring:
These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:
* Previous experience in an SEO role either at a client or agency, ideally focussing on Banking
* In-depth understanding of SEO techniques and their successful application as well as a detailed working knowledge of SEO data analysis
* Detailed knowledge on website architecture and how this impacts performance
* Proven track record of optimising on page content to drive performance
It would also be nice for you to have:
* Excellent MS Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint
* Experience with website and SEO analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Screaming Frog
* Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member
* Experience of B2B marketing
What else you need to know:
This permanent role is based in Milton Keynes.
We want our people to thrive at work and home, and also be able to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and to help each other develop. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
If you apply for this role, it’s important you consider your travelling distance, time and cost from your home to the office location. We’re happy to discuss specific working patterns and arrangement within this hybrid approach during the recruitment process.
