Role Overview: As a Premium Deli Manager, you will lead a production team to deliver weekly operational plans within your area. Your responsibilities include ensuring processes, production, and product quality meet the highest standards. You’ll collaborate with Supervisors and Team Leaders to create a dynamic and friendly work environment. Additionally, you’ll manage long-term improvements, talent development, and compliance with health, safety, and food regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor proper temperatures during deli, cheese, and bakery production.
* Supervise day-to-day functions of the service deli.
* Oversee all daily deli operations.
* Recruit, train, and develop deli staff.
* Manage employees’ performance, including cooking, serving, packaging, and counter operations.
* Grow food service sales.
* Maintain agreed GMP standards and achieve green results on weekly audits.
* Collaborate with other Supervisors and Shift Managers to reduce production NCRs.
* Conduct team appraisals and lead talent management processes.
* Provide cover for the Department Manager when needed.
* Complete Employee Relations tasks (recruitment, return-to-work meetings, disciplinaries, etc.).
* Promote teamwork and exceed customer and company expectations.
* Represent the company’s high standards professionally.
Qualifications:
* Experience in a management role within a Food Operations environment.
* Track record of leading cultural and procedural change through a team.
* Good knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety principles.
* Strong literacy and numeracy skills (English proficiency).
* IOSH working safely certification.
* Food Safety level 2 certification.
* Previous experience leading an engaged and high-performing team.
* Reliability and good timekeeping.
* Effective communication.
* Willingness to learn and be a team player.
* Cooperative, enthusiastic, and orderly approach.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing needs.
