ABOUT THE ROLE –
The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of key account contracts. This involves continually reviewing the portfolio, identifying and actively managing priority accounts, maintaining a good understanding of the customer and its business needs, and building and maintaining strong relationships with customer stakeholders and decision-makers.
Managing a portfolio of 15-20 key accounts.
Prioritize the key account portfolio to ensure return on investment and growth.
Identify and convert specific growth opportunities to deliver demonstrable growth at targeted accounts.
Develop and manage the key account plan.
Engage actively with customers through face-to-face visits and quarterly business reviews, building strong relationships with stakeholders and decision-makers.
Have a strong understanding of contractual commitments to the customer.
Report monthly on portfolio status, including budget performance, renewal status, and opportunity/risk profile.
Successfully renew customer contracts at the end of their term.
Working Hours:
Monday – Friday: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
Weekly hours: 40
Breaks: 1 hour
ABOUT YOU –
Experience in sales or account management.
Degree qualified or equivalent relevant qualification (e.g., apprenticeship) and industry experience.
Proven track record of identifying and converting growth opportunities into sales.
Ability to present, engage, and negotiate at a senior leadership level.
Experience in contract negotiation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Effective communicator at all levels.
Self-managed and motivated, responsible for own deliverables.
Strong customer focus, able to manage customer needs and deliver business goals.
Good financial and business acumen, organizational skills.
