Events Marketing Executive – Aerospace & Defence
About the role
We are seeking a highly proactive and results-driven Events Marketing Executive to join our Defence marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated professional who thrives on planning and delivering outstanding events that drive business growth, customer engagement, and brand visibility.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the primary focus of this role will be the end-to-end planning, coordination and delivery of strategic events across the Defence sector – including trade shows, exhibitions, product launches and industry conferences. You will take ownership of a busy events calendar and ensure every activation delivers measurable impact in line with our commercial and brand objectives.
Alongside events, you’ll support broader marketing initiatives such as digital campaigns, social media management, and content development – ensuring events are fully integrated with our wider marketing strategy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Event Management & Brand Activation (Primary Responsibility)
2. Lead the planning, coordination and execution of a strategic programme of events across Air, Land, Sea, and Sub-sea sectors.
3. Manage all aspects of event delivery – from concept to execution – including logistics, creative direction, supplier liaison, and budget control.
4. Work closely with internal stakeholders across business development, account management, and product teams to ensure strong alignment and pre/post-event engagement.
5. Track and report on event performance, including lead generation, customer engagement and return on investment.
6. Identify new event opportunities and continuously evolve our event presence to stay ahead of industry trends.
Digital Marketing & Social Media
1. Collaborate with subject matter experts to create engaging, event-focused content for digital channels.
2. Support the Defence social media strategy, ensuring consistent messaging around upcoming and past events.
3. Help manage digital campaigns that complement event activity, driving pre-event awareness and post-event follow-up.
Lead Generation & Sales Enablement
1. Ensure events contribute directly to lead generation and pipeline development.
2. Provide sales teams with pre-event briefing packs and post-event follow-up tools, including marketing collateral, presentations, and case studies.
3. Work closely with sales and marketing colleagues to ensure seamless lead capture and conversion from events.

Experience & Qualifications
1. Degree in Marketing, Events Management, Communications, or a related field.
2. Minimum of five years’ experience in a B2B marketing or events role, preferably within Defence or a related industry (B2G experience desirable).
3. Proven track record of successful end-to-end event delivery and campaign execution.
4. Experience in digital marketing and social media management, with strong copywriting skills.
5. Familiarity with CRM and marketing platforms such as Salesforce, WordPress, Shopify, Google Analytics, and social media scheduling tools.
6. Comfortable working with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to deliver complex event projects.
