My client has an opening for an Assistant General Manager at their Forest Row site. The Assistant General Manager will be responsible for helping to manage day-to-day operations, product inventory, and ensuring effective customer service.
This role would suit an existing Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager from within the Builders Merchant sector.
Qualifications
1. Strong leadership and communication skills
2. Experience in managing staff and overseeing daily operations
3. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
4. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure
6. Previous experience in the construction or building materials industry is essential
7. Forklift experience is desirable as the role could involve some loading/unloading of customer & supplier vehicles. This is a very 'hands-on' role so a willingness to get involved is essential.
