On behalf of our Thetford based client we re seeking a skilled Quality Control Supervisor to join their team. You will oversee the daily operations of a quality control laboratory and, in this pivotal role, ensure the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of test results, contributing directly to the production of high-quality products. The successful candidate will lead a team of lab technicians, develop and implement testing protocols, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Hands-on approach to developing and implementing best practice quality procedures, particularly within a manufacturing environment. Serve as the primary contact for quality issues related to fluids and raw materials. Contribute to new business initiatives and projects, and assess their impact on QC laboratory activities. Support the onboarding process for new customers. Ensure audit readiness for your area of responsibility. Conduct testing of components and products to established standards. Perform audits in line with GMP standards. Monitor the quality of finished goods in production and address any identified issues. Support manufacturing and material trials. Lead, manage, and motivate laboratory technicians to achieve high performance. Engage with suppliers as needed. Managing daily laboratory operations, ensuring accurate and timely test results. Training and managing laboratory staff Maintaining compliance with industry regulations, developing and refining testing procedures, and continually improving laboratory performance. Maintaining thorough documentation Collaborating with other departments Driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Upholding the highest standards of safety and quality in all laboratory operations Skills and Experience Required: Supervisory experience in a laboratory setting, preferably within an FMCG industry. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Chemist) are desirable. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Excellent people management and leadership skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in troubleshooting complex technical issues. Exceptional attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and as part of a cross-functional team. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 0900-1700 and the salary is £30,000 per annum.
