About The Role As a Behaviour Support TA, you will assist in creating a positive and safe learning environment by supporting students who require additional assistance with managing their behaviour. You will play a crucial role in fostering student development and contributing to their academic success. Responsibilities Of The Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant Provide direct, individualised support to students facing behavioural challenges, tailoring interventions to address their unique needs. Contribute to the design and implementation of targeted behaviour management plans, promoting positive conduct and enhancing student engagement in learning. Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators) to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to student support throughout all educational activities. Actively promote positive student interactions and behaviours, fostering an inclusive and cooperative classroom environment. Continuously monitor and assess student progress, delivering constructive feedback to both students and staff to drive ongoing improvement. Support students in developing emotional resilience and self-regulation skills to better manage challenges. Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment where every student feels valued and empowered in their educational journey. Requirements Of The Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant Experience supporting students with behavioural or Special Educational Needs (SEN). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to de-escalate situations and manage challenging behaviour. A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach. A commitment to safeguarding and child protection. A commitment to promoting inclusion and helping students reach their full potential. Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
