Are you an experienced Legal Secretary with a background in property law and litigation? We are seeking a proactive and organised individual to join a busy legal team, supporting fee-earners in a well-established firm. About the Role As a Legal Secretary, you will play a crucial role in assisting fee-earners with a range of administrative and legal tasks, particularly in relation to property transactions and litigation matters. You’ll need a keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and familiarity with court procedures and property registrations. Key Responsibilities Prepare and process legal documents, including issuing claims and applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court requirements. Register applications on the Land Registry portal, complete DS1s, and handle other property-related legal forms. Maintain and organise client files, ensuring all documents are properly stored and accessible. Communicate professionally with clients, solicitors, courts, and third parties, handling enquiries and providing updates. Manage diaries, schedule appointments, handle incoming correspondence, and assist with general office tasks. Assist with invoicing and financial documentation to support fee-earnersWhat We’re Looking For Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within property law or litigation Knowledge of court procedures and experience completing court forms Familiarity with Land Registry processes, DS1 forms, and property transactions Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under deadlines Excellent organisational and communication skills Location: Altrincham Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 per annum Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
